“Birds fly, fish swim, and children play.” Garry L. Landreth, Play Therapy: The Art of the Relationship.
I am a child-centred play therapist based in the North East of England, offering trauma-informed therapeutic support to children, young people and their families.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Play Therapists (BAPT) and bring over
20 years' experience in mental health services, including work with children, young people and adults who have experienced trauma, loss, separation and early adversity.
I offer play and creative therapy within local schools and community spaces, as well as consultation and supervision for professionals.
Sessions are available face to face or online, depending on need.
I accept referrals from local authorities, the NHS, education settings and voluntary organisations, alongside a limited number of private referrals.
I work collaboratively with parents and carers where appropriate, recognising the importance of safe, attuned relationships in supporting a child’s emotional wellbeing.
Please contact me to arrange an initial discussion to explore whether this approach may be right for your child, family or service.
